Santa Barbara International Film Festival

February 4-15

In its 40th year, the festival will toast the best in modern cinema, with special honors to be presented to Angelina Jolie, Ralph Fiennes, Timothée Chalamet, Zoe Saldaña, Colman Domingo and more.

Yosemite Firefall

February 8-23 (estimated)

This annual natural spectacle happens for only two weeks a year when the setting sun reflects off Yosemite National Park’s Horsetail Fall, creating a cascade of illuminated water. Popular and crowded, you’ll want to make your park reservations in advance.

Stephen Sondheim’s Old Friends 

February 8-March 9

Celebrate the life and work of the great Stephen Sondheim, with an irresistible company headlined by none other than Tony Award® winners Bernadette Peters and Lea Salonga. Stephen Sondheim’s Old Friends comes to the Ahmanson from London’s West End, where it earned a bevy of 5-star raves and was hailed by The Times as “unmissable musical theatre.”

Modernism Week

February 13-23

This celebration of Midcentury Modern architecture, design and culture returns to Palm Springs for a 20thyear with an exciting roster of tours and events. Highlights include a keynote speech by Dr. Raymond Neutra, an illuminated twilight bus tour, the art of Herb Albert, special print release parties from artist SHAG, a night with jazz legend Dianne Reeves and, of course, the Modernism Show.

Lodi Wine & Chocolate

Lodi Wine & Chocolate combines two regional favorites, locally made chocolate and delicious wines. Founded in 1997 with the goal to promote and elevate the region and its wines, the event has welcomed more than 100,000 guests and generated over $2 million to support programs directly benefitting the region’s winemaking community.

Santa Cruz Clam Chowder Cook-Off

February 22-23

Join the delicious festivities as amateur and professional chefs prepare their finest clam chowder recipes along the Boardwalk. Teams compete in the friendly competition, hoping to win prizes and bragging rights for BEST CLAM CHOWDER in the country’s largest and longest-running clam chowder competition.
